Claire and Ioannis - 23rd June 2012 - Cadbury House Hotel, Congresbury

Claire and Ioannis' day was beautiful, I loved Claire's choice of a coral pink colour scheme which I've only seen once before. It matched in brilliantly with Cadbury's mix of traditional and contemporary and stunning flowers by Kimberleys the Florist suited the look really well. The couple had an angelic daughter Isabella who was the perfect little flowergirl, guarding each of her petals in her basket as if they were as precious as her parents wedding rings. I got some great photos of their little family that I hope will make them smile. By simply asking Claire and Ioannis to talk and play with Bella I got some lovely quirky shots. It wasnt until quite late in the day that I realised why I recognised a large percentage of Ioannis' friends. I'd photographed them all nude....not just for my own personal collection, the boys did a charity calendar with their Rugby Club and now I've thought about it more I believe Ioannis may have been part of that calendar......Luckily for them they are now all archived! It was a pleasure to be part of such a great day I hope this lovely couple have a fantastic honeymoon.

Amy and Dan - 22nd June 2012 - Cadbury House Hotel, Congresbury

Tara and I arrived at Amy and Dan's flat to a very organised Bride and her attendants. None of the usual chaos, the girls were just tucking into a glass of Bucks Fizz and finishing their Breakfast Bacon Sarnies! Apart from Amy's Dad frantically adding the finishing touches to his speech everyone else seemed very relaxed. We then headed off to Cadbury to capture some photos of Dan and his groomsmen before Amy arrived. Dan and Amy's nuptials collided with their son Tyler's naptime so the ceremony was certainly memorable with poor Tyler unsure of what was going on and refusing to be put down by his Dad, this made him a big part of the vows and ring exchange. It's actually really lovely that he was able to be part of this and will make their ceremony even more memorable....I'm sure Amy and Dan will never let him forget it either!

Lisa and Alan - 16th June 2012 - St Mary's, Yatton and Yatton Rugby Club

Lisa and Alan are such a great couple it was a real pleasure to be part of their day. I first met Alan at their engagement shoot and he has the most infectious smile and laugh I could just take photos of him all day! Luckily its part of my job that I have to! Lisa and Alan chose to have their wedding at St Mary's Church in Yatton, which I think is one of the grandest churches in the area. This was followed by an informal reception in a beautifully decorated marquee in the grounds of Yatton Rugby Club. Sadly, Lisa was let down by her florist at the last minute, but her mum came to the rescue and put together some fantastic bouquets that suited the day perfectly. Some of my favourite pictures of the day were of the couple leaving the church under a cloud of confetti. I do love a good confetti shot! The couple are off on honeymoon this week but being big fans of travelling they will be taking a second extended honeymoon to Cambodia early next year...it's alright for some!

Lisa and Mike - 15th June 2012 - Cadbury House Hotel, Congresbury

Lisa and Mike chose the lovely Cadbury House in Congresbury for their wedding ceremony and reception. I'm sure they were both very glad to have chosen only one location when the weather couldnt make up its mind as to whether it wanted to be glorious or miserable! This made no difference to everyones enjoyment though, the Happy Couple had a wonderfully personal ceremony, the legal part was conducted by a registrar then the main body of the ceremony was performed by local vicar and family friend, Clive, who I have had the pleasure of working with on a number of occasions. After the ceremony we managed to dash out for a couple of minutes to get the 'big' pictures done, then I was able to use the lovely architecture of the old part of the House to capture the smaller group pictures. The sun then came out with perfect timing so we could head out again to use the grounds for some shots of Lisa and Mike together. A brilliant day was had by all!

Zoe and Dani Bump Portraits

I dont normally put portrait shoots onto my blog, but I recently did my first Bump shoot for lovely sister-in-laws Zoe and Dani Saade. I had a lot of fun doing these, and although neither yummy mummy were desperate to get in the buff when they arrived, I got some beautiful arty nudes and both seemed really relaxed once we got into the shoot. Huge congratulations to Dani who popped last week and had a beautiful baby boy, Zoe is due in three weeks time and is also expecting a little boy. Get in touch for more information on my portrait services.

Caroline and Joe - 9th June 2012 - Walton Park Hotel, Clevedon

Caroline and Joe definitely had luck on their side when it came to the weather for their Wedding on Saturday. After severe weather warnings and hideous rain on Friday, Saturday had perfect blue skies over their seafront venue Walton Park Hotel in Clevedon. Although the couple had a small wedding party they wanted fun photos with lots of their friends that looked great....even though it was sprung on some of their guests that they would be expected to be running and jumping around after the ceremony! I loved the couples cake idea. They had simply put together a collection of allsorts of different types of cakes that the staff at Walton Park then displayed for them on their cake table...it looked delicious! This lovely couple will be honeymooning in Clevedon and simply taking a week off to chill out at home and enjoy one anothers company....what a lovely way to start married life!

Elaine and Pete - 2nd June 2012 - Bristol Registry Office and Totos Wine Bar

Elaine and Pete chose a wonderfully chilled reception at Totos Wine Bar in the centre of Bristol following their intimate ceremony with 50 family and friends on Saturday afternoon. Neither the Bride of Groom felt particularly comfortable with the thought of having to pose for the camera so I put together a series of natural portrait ideas for them at the bombed out Temple Church  (also known as the leaning church) and the lovely gardens adjacent so by the time I needed them to look at the camera they felt quite relaxed. I loved the choice of Postbox Red (or Liverpool Red...as Pete pointed out to me when we first met!) it looked great with the urban backdrop by the riverfront, Elaine was also driven to the ceremony in a red and cream VW Campervan that matched the scheme brilliantly.
