Charlotte and Matthew - 19th May 2012 - Clevedon Hall, Clevedon

Charlotte and Matthew had an elegant wedding at Clevedon Hall which is definitely one of my favourite venues to photograph at the moment. In the summer there are extensive grounds and the Victorian seaside promenade just a moment away and in the winter there a are literally hundreds of different spots for indoor shots using the beautiful original features. I was made to feel so welcome at Charlotte and Matt's big day. Being offered canapes at the Brides house as the girls got ready is always a lovely way to start my morning! I was even invited to hop into the couples horse and carriage on a little jaunt down to the seafront for some pictures infront of the pier. Purple is definitely the colour of the season, it has been a part of 9 of my last 10 weddings and looked fantastic with the grandeur of Clevedon Hall along with a subtle bird theme (the couples new surname!) This lovely couple are off to Italy for a couple of weeks to enjoy a honeymoon in Sorrento, I hope they have a wonderful time and I look forward to showing them their gallery on their return.

Baby Portrait Session - May 2012

Don't forget that I also do lovely portrait shoots at my clients homes. I don't normally share these on my blog but I had a fantastic shoot last week with lots of mums and babies from the Banwell Baby Group in one massive chaotic session. I thought I'd share small selection of them with you now. From top to bottom we have Rachel and her Mummy, Jarvis, Riley, Isobel, Paige and her Mummy, Mia, Sebastian and his Mummy and Oliver. Get in touch if you would like details of the portrait shoots I offer.

Heather and Feargus - 12th May 2012 - The Assembly Rooms, Bath and Camerton Hall

It was a pleasure to be part of Heather and Fearg's wedding on Saturday. As soon as I met Heather and her sister Bryher at the I Do Wedding Fayre in Bath I knew that this day was going to be a lot of fun. Heather and Fearg  run a theatre company and are both really creative people so it was no wonder their guests were met by 'living' flowerpots that moved with the wedding party to add decoration wherever they went. An artist made a pen and ink canvas during the day and added to this as things caught her eye throughout the celebrations, guests were then invited to add to the piece during the evening reception. One of their readings was a sonnet read by a Shakespearian actor, their ushers were beverage managers and a camerman with all the gear and my favourite was the fact that the bestman works looking after photographers at big events...must be the best chosen wedding party I've ever come across. A fantastic vinatge red bus delivered all of the guests to the reception venue so they could continue the merriment on their journey to Camerton (and everyone could enjoy a glass of bubbly at the assembly rooms!) They certainly booked the weather for it aswell. Brilliant blue skies all day contrasted really well with the couples choice of bright red. An incredible day to photograph a wedding! Hope you have an amazing time in Paris Mr and Mrs Dunlop.

Charlotte and Martin - 5th May 2012 - Walton Park Hotel, Clevedon

Charlotte and Martin (also known as Chaz and Badge) chose the very popular Walton Park Hotel in Clevedon (I'm there 4 times between now and August!) for their ceremony and reception.  They chose the venue because not only do they live just a minutes walk away they also met there. Lots of little personal touches made Chaz and Badge's day really special. Things like; using Martin's skim board to display the table plan, giving favours of discs of their favourite music and some fantastic personalised Converse for the Happy Couple to party the night away in. I particularly loved the Converse trainers. I'm hoping my husband doesn't read my blog as regularly as he claims as he may be receiving some of these as a Fathers Day gift! After their wedding breakfast Tara and I popped down to the seafront with the Bride and Groom to get some great portraits with moody skies in the background. Chaz and Badge are off to Mauritius in a couple of days and we hope they have a  fantastic time away.
